Handmade tablet case

I enjoy making notebooks from scratch in my spare time and sometimes I don't finish what I have started and I am left with a bunch of half finished notebook parts like covers and text blocks. Well, this is a project for one such part, namely the cover.

I won't show here how I made this cover, but click here if you want to check out how I made another one.

This particular cover was perfect in size for a standard 7'' tablet, so I didn't need to do any work on adapting it.

I did need to glue something on the inside of the cover to make it look more finished. For this I already had some recycled paper left over from other projects and I like the texture it has. I also put two skewers to form ridges on both sides of the spine and then pressed it down with some books until glue hardens.

To hold the tablet, I used four plastic corners which I made with a 3d pen. Pretty quick job and nothing too fancy. Glued the corners with superglue to hold them in place.

I could have also put something to hold the tablet in place, like a rubber ribbon, but it held in place while handling the tablet, so I left it as is for now. One thing to add, that would be useful, is a ribbon or a magnet to hold the cover closed while not in use.
